The images in this issue were taken in Giovinazzo, the birthplace of my parents. The town is located on “the heel of the boot,” as my father liked to say, in the Apulia region in southern Italy. It is a seaside town of approximately 10,000 people. The locals are hard-working, family oriented; typical Italians. The photographs are a documentation many of the traditions in that region.
